Programme Content

The Berlin Part-Time MBA, taught in English, offers the perfect combination of theory and practice. It will set you on a direct path to expanding your leadership skills. The core modules in the first part of the study programme lay the foundations of key management knowledge. All areas of a business and  external interactions of a company are dissected, while developing your thinking skills around processes and solutions at all times.

The elective modules of the second part of the study programme give you the opportunity to apply yourself to specific tasks. Study trips in Europe or to the USA prepare you in a specific and practical manner for the field of International Management. You learn about the business frameworks, strategies and management tools of multinational corporations. In the „Transformation Management and Change" module you will help a company to deal with change processes in a dynamic and agile manner or to actively initiate them, thus putting it ahead of the competition.  The module "Digital Business and Technology Management" will present you with dynamically changing challenges and train your digital agility. In the module "Innovative Sustainability“, you will learn how to embedd sustainability aspects in innovation projects at our partner university, Porto Business School. The module "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" familiarizes you with the innovation process of start-ups and corporates. A core element of this module is a practice-based project with the Barton School of Business in Wichita, Kansas. Together with MBA students from the USA, you will work in teams on the development of real solutions for the internationalization challenges of start-ups and SMEs.

From the teaching style right through to the lecturers, the MBA focuses consistently on practical, hands-on experiences. Corporate projects, academic case studies, current live case studies, job-based projects and group work, business simulations plus presentations from corporate leaders from select enterprises all form integral course components.

A great benefit was the hands-on transfer of knowledge from the non-technical field and the development of skills into a multicultural environment. Learning outside the textbooks and exchanging different perspectives was beneficial for self-development.
