Our management seminars provide knowledge and practical skills for management in a compact, practice-oriented, and academically rigorous format. The seminar "Digital Collaborative Innovation" is offered as an open module of the online Master of Science in Business Management, providing current competencies for management positions in start-ups and international companies and organizations. These competencies are essential for addressing the challenges and opportunities of the digital age, and the course is designed to be compatible with professionals' work schedules.

Seminar Content

Increasingly, global corporations are looking for collaborative structures, either to address challenges surpassing their own firm (climate change, sustainability, global production networks) or the wish to be on top of new developments to avoid being made obsolete by disruptive innovations. Innovation is not only sought within companies’ own corporate R&D centres but also by open innovation and the cooperation with start-ups.

Competences for collaborating digitally in the context of innovation are needed. A practical, collaborative challenge is performed in a team, supported by the external partner openIDEO.

Seminar Structure

The course is offered 100% online, designed for students with a tight work schedule. The programme structure is highly flexible, all contents are distributed on our online learning platform Moodle and can be accessed at any time from anywhere.

The live-sessions do not take any longer than 60-90 minutes. Attendance is optional, you can benefit from discussions and interaction with professors and fellow students. All live sessions are recorded and can be viewed at any time.

Certificate

Should you have successfully achieved the related module examination, you will receive a module certificate with a grade and proof of ECTS credit points.

Recognition

It is possible to have these ECTS credit points recognised within the M.Sc. Business Management – Digital Business Management, provided that you fulfill the admission requirements. In this case the seminar fees already paid will be credited against the first instalment of the tuition fee.
