Global and local security risks such as crime, espionage, and fragile statehood make professional corporate security essential. German companies, which are often highly dependent on exports, and medium-sized companies must organize their security structures independently and continuously professionalize them. Corporate security is a central pillar of business resilience -  the demand for skilled workers is growing rapidly.

The Corporate Security certificate programme offers targeted and systematic continuing education with a comprehensive view of the core areas of corporate security. Participants gain expertise in fields such as psychology, political science, criminology, data protection, labor law, cybersecurity, and sociology. Through practice-oriented, theory-informed modules, case studies, and hands-on projects in corporate security, they develop a deep understanding of the challenges companies face in this field. This combination of theory and practice modules optimally prepares them for the diverse tasks in corporate security.

In addition, specific methodological skills for organizing corporate security, mastering everyday tasks, and dealing with crisis situations are taught. Communication and teamwork skills are trained, as are the participants' personal skills.

The programme is designed for professionals transitioning into corporate security for the first time, employees seeking to move into the field, and specialists aiming to deepen their expertise. It supports participants in building a professional identity within the security sector and enhancing their value within their organization.

Programme Content

The programme content is based on current topics and focal points in corporate security and imparts interdisciplinary and practical knowledge so that participants can apply what they have learned directly in their everyday work.
