When everything is new – but you still feel at home

A new start doesn’t have to be difficult. The Welcome Service can provide advice and support on the following topics:

  • Visas & staying in Germany
  • Living & finding accommodation in Berlin
  • Applying for an apartment
  • Taking out health insurance
  • Matriculating, semester tickets
  • Getting to know others through team building seminars and joint events
  • Introductory events on the study programme contents and the HWR service areas

Language schools and courses

If you are interested in working in Germany, a good level of German is an advantage, as well as English. To help you along the way, HWR is currently in the process of building a language centre.
