Seminar Content

This course aims to provide you with a broad understanding of strategic and financial M&A transactions by making use of an interactive mix of fundamental basics, numerous real-life examples and class discussions of many up-to-date M&A mini case examples. You will gain fundamental knowledge about all relevant elements constituting international M&A transactions in theory as well as in real-life and thus be able to judge strategic deals from an interdisciplinary management and financial transactions from a Private Equity perspective.

Content-wise, the course is divided in three parts:

  • M&A MARKET (Corporate Governance & M&A, regulatory environment, hostile takeover attempts)
  • M&A PROCESS (Strategic reasons for M&A deal making, typical steps in M&A processes)
  • M&A FINANCE (Valuation, pricing and financing of M&A transactions)
